Dog Training Services in Greater Dublin and North Wicklow
ABOUT ME
I have been involved in companion dog training for over fifteen years. My goal is to see our dogs welcomed back into the community as valued members. My training is community-based and focuses on making both dog and handler ‘good citizens’ and role models.
Pre-covid I gave training courses weekly with the Irish Kennel club in the National Show Centre. I have also ran courses through Adult Education initiatives. My positive, reward-based training is facilitated at clients' residences and in the broader community.
A key part of my training is to help owners understand how their dog communicates through body language, so they can better read how their dogs feel in everyday circumstances. This approach empowers the owner to understand their dog’s emotional state and react appropriately. The result gives the dog trust in their owner, allows the dog let the owner take the lead and gives the owner the confidence. Therefore, the bond between owner and dog increases and both enjoy their outings together.
